Ford Volunteers Continue the Clean Up!

A great crew from Ford Motor Company worked all day on March 13th cleaning out 8 of the Elmhurst apartments. Old refrigerators and stoves were loaded up to be sent to recycling. The group not only helped get Elmhurst ready for new tenants, but they also helped move the belongings of a woman who had been living in the abandoned building. Her things were moved to her new apartment. Thanks, Ford Motor volunteers, for helping out at CCSS and for making the life of at least one person a whole lot better!

NetShape Is the First!

NetShape was our very first group to slog through the debris in our newly acquired apartment building and give us a hand at beginning the clean up process at 1584 Elmhurst. You have to be a visionary to see what was once an abandoned building begin to get ready to house the formerly homeless men, women and children in our programs. And, you have to be a company with a great team of colleagues who give of their time to volunteer to make a difference in the lives of folks in our city. Thanks, NetShape, for helping us begin this great adventure!
