Old refrigerators and stoves were loaded up to be sent to recycling. The group not only helped get Elmhurst ready for new tenants, but they also helped move the belongings of a woman who had been living in the abandoned building. Her things were moved to her new apartment. You have to be a visionary to see what was once an abandoned building begin to get ready to house the formerly homeless men, women and children in our programs. And, you have to be a company with a great team of colleagues who give of their time to volunteer to make a difference in the lives of folks in our city.
